Are you searching for a natural homemade acne treatment? If you are, then you have just arrived at the perfect article that lists the perfect natural treatments that have been tested and tried.

We begin with a simple look of what causes acne, move into homemade acne treatment recipes made right from home, and finally a few recommended cheap over-the-counter herbal remedies. Stop paying for over price acne pills and read on for lots of free ideas.

To begin, let’s explore the details behind the causes of acne. Blotchiness and acne actually comes from a buildup of oil and bacteria which clogs your pores and follicles. Well the simple answer to fix the problem is to clean your skin and pores, which sounds simple…well it is!

To start the process, try a simple clean and scrub. Why that sounds simple, most people end up “over-washing” their skin. That sounds backwards…how can you clean your skin too much? Well, the more you clean your skin with soap, the drier it becomes, which causes more oil production, which causes your pores to clog and ultimately more acne. As you can see that is a vicious cycle. To avoid this, try using a pH balanced, soothing herbal based gentle face wash.

Don’t forget about exfoliation to get rid of dead skin cells and unclogging those nasty pores. You ask, “How do I get rid of dead skin cells and unclog my pores.” Start by making a natural facial scrub with sugar and water OR baking soda and water. Add a little sugar or baking soda with small amounts of water until you have a paste. Once or twice a week spread the paste all over your skin and in no time you will start noticing incredible results. Remember to test a small amount on your skin first as some people have sensitive skin.

Let’s move on from the scrub to a homemade acne treatment vinegar tonic you can make at home. This concoction can be made right in the comfort of your own home and will help reduce any blotchiness or redness you have on your skin. To begin:

Fill a glass up with water

Mix a tablespoon of apple vinegar with the water

Dip a cotton ball into the mixture and massage it onto your face – making sure to cover all your red spots

Try keeping the mixture on as long as possible, for best results, leave on overnight and rinse in the morning

Keep the solution in the refrigerator and use it every night before going to bed. After a few weeks you should notice a reduction in the redness and blotchiness.

You can also make a homemade facial mask or a homemade acne moisturizer to help treat your dry acne skin. The mask is easy to make and doesn’t cost much at all. This mask was made for people with dry skin and named the pineapple honey acne mask.

It is possible to have dry skin and still suffer from acne. This mask was designed to be very helpful for inflamed skin that’s dry too. Honey and pineapple both contain natural enzymes that exfoliate dead skin cells and clean the pores without over drying. Honey is also a great oil free moisturizer.

Mash up a cup of pineapple (rinse off the juice)

Mix the pineapple with 1 tablespoon of honey

Apply the solution over your clean skin and wait for 20-30 minutes, then rinse the solution off.
